Within my five-week stay, assessment and evaluation were mostly done through formative assessment.More often than not, my mentor teacher and I would use a variety of formative assessment techniques such as written work, listening to student-to-student conversations and general observations (just to name a few).

 

Attached above are two assessment documents that I have given to the kids. Both are written formative assessment as a build up towards a final summative assessment. Both are also from the geometry unit in math where the “test your knowledge quiz” was a lead up to the mini unit quiz “2D shapes”.
